Why IIDA?
  The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is a professional non-profit association with members holding the highest qualifications in the profession and representing all specialties of interior design. The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) works to enhance the value of the Interior Design profession and its practitioners as well as to cultivate leadership within the profession. IIDA has more than 13,000 members in 10 specialty forums, 9 regions, and 29 Chapters around the world committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in interior design and to advance interior design through knowledge. By becoming a member you are making the decision to be an informed member of the design community. IIDA stands to Nurture a rapidly developing knowledge center as a resource; Advocate for design excellence; Maintain educational standards; Respond to trends in business and design; Provide superior information about interior design and related issues, using its own rapidly developing body of knowledge as a resource; and Celebrate the profession.
 
  The History of IIDA
  The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) was founded in 1994 as a result of the merger between the Institute of Business Designers (IBD), the International Society of Interior Designers, and the Council of Federal Interior Designers (CFID). IIDA embodies the merger’s goal to create an international association with a united mission which represents interior designers worldwide and speaks on their behalf with a single voice.

This is the time when you need to put on your marketing face, get out there and network. Unsure how where to start? Don’t let the membership dues get in the way of your professional development and networking opportunities. By renewing as an Inactive Professional or Associate Member, the opportunities are endless and the cost is affordable. In addition to documentation and fees you must include a letter of explanation.

IIDA offers payment plans for Professional, Associate and Industry (both Corporate and Individual) members. This allows members to break their payments into installments, as long as dues are paid. Credit card only accepted with the maximum of six payments (four for industry members).
