Membership Types

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS

  • Professional Members are actively engaged in the profession of interior design or design education and have passed the accrediting NCIDQ exam.
  • Associate Members are actively engaged in the profession, but have not passed the NCIDQ examination. Most individuals who have recently graduated and are beginning their career are at this level. Applicants must meet the education requirements of the NCIDQ exam or equivalent (a two-year certificate in interior design or equivalent educational credits). To qualify, you must provide an official transcript or diploma (photocopies are available).
  • Affiliate Members are actively engaged in a field of expertise that is directly related to the interior design industry; i.e. Furniture Designer, Lighting Designer, Architects not practicing interior design, Landscape Designer, Graphic Designer, etc. Please include your business card.

EDUCATORS are employed by local Colleges or Universities and join as a Professional or Associate member, but may be eligible for reduced rates.

INTERNATIONAL Dual Membership and International At-Large Membership of IIDA echoes the Association’s unique international focus. With over 30 worldwide chapters, including Europe and Asia, IIDA is poised to take an active role in the international design community.

INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVE + INDIVIDUALS offers manufacturers of interior design products (carpeting, furniture, textiles, wallcoverings, etc.) a tremendous networking opportunity to promote their company and services to IIDA’s Interior Designer Members.

MEDIA May be granted to any individual or organization who reports on interior design matters.
INTERNATIONAL DESIGN SCHOOL MEMBERS

STUDENT MEMBERS
IIDA offers a special deal to recent graduates who were active student members at a lower cost.
