At PIVOT Architecture we work in an open and transparent way in teams that are formed for each project. We actively listen to each other and our clients, and produce places that are responsive to programmatic requirements, context, and budget. We recognize our responsibility to manage resources thoughtfully, and understand that the decisions we make affect the health of our communities and environment. We seek people who understand that implementing these values requires thought, care, and creativity. Our interior designers are at the table on day one, seamlessly blending the perspectives and contributions originating from all facets, inside and out, of each project’s design. We are located in the heart of Eugene, Oregon and are active participants in the continued evolution of our energetic, small city.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong design sensibility who is motivated, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks. The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate with team members, remain organized in changing environments, multi-task, and have excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills. Technical requirements include proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suites, Speclink, and 3D rendering software. Candidates must also be knowledgeable in the production and detailing of construction documentation, furniture selection and procurement, and local building codes and ADA requirements.

Our interior designers may be assigned to work within a team on a specific project, or work on multiple projects in different capacities with a variety of our designers and architects. Roles vary according to project workload and individual skill sets. A variety of assignments at all phases of design such as space planning, programming, construction documents, site verification, consultant coordination, construction administration, management of small projects, furniture and material selection, specifications, and presentation of materials and renderings can be expected.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, interior architecture or equivalent from a CIDA accredited institution
  • Achieved or progressing toward NCIDQ certification and LEED accreditation is a plus
  • 5- 10 years of professional design experience specific to commercial interior design
  • Strong knowledge of the design process including FF&E selection, specification, and procurement
