We are looking for an interior designer that can lead interior design through a range of project sizes and types from concept through completion with guidance from the project team, consult on interiors scope, and manage our in-office material library. CHA is a collaborative environment where your ability to communicate clearly, think strategically, and work collaboratively with others is essential. We value design skills, technical expertise, creative thinking, good team players, and people with the desire to keep learning and explore what architecture can do.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school of design.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the commercial or multi-family design industry.
  • Considerable experience in programming, planning principles and material research and selection.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and technical skills.
  • Revit proficiency required. Experience with Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam.
  • Project experience in all stages of projects from programming through Construction Administration.


  • NCIDQ qualification.
  • Sustainability credentials such as LEED AP, CPHD, WELL.
  • Familiarity with the Oregon Building Codes and State and Federal Accessibility Codes.
  • Experience with rendering software, Enscape preferred.
  • Experience managing Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) projects from design through procurement and install.


  • Lead interior design project design from concept through construction documents.
  • Research building code requirements and coordinate with the project design.
  • Coordinate and correspond with public agencies to obtain building permits.
  • Research, develop, and coordinate production of interior design drawings and details specific to the project from concept design through construction document phase.
  • Review interior design drawings for document coordination, quality, clarity, and commitment to client and CHA standards.
  • Participate in coordination of specifications with project design.
  • Coordinate consultant drawings and technical information.
  • Lead issuance of bid set, addendum and conformance set.
  • Lead Construction Administration for interior design projects.
  • Communicate project deadlines, project milestones, staffing needs and changes with entire team.
  • Lead communication with the client regarding FF&E.
  • Generate FF&E specifications for projects and coordinate with FF&E vendors for pricing and procurement.
  • Perform product research and communicate with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Maintain CHA’s materials library.
  • Research commercial real estate market trends and create business development opportunities within the real estate industry.
  • Prepare presentations and renderings using digital rendering software and/or by hand rendering.
  • Present/lead in internal team and client meetings.
  • Participate in industry events.
